Cup dispenser for a vending machine

This is a fully engineering-driven development with no design involved. But proper engineering work is always beautiful!

The device uses a Hall sensor and a stepper motor instead of a limit switch and a brushed motor, as their lifespan is virtually unlimited.

Prototypes and development

A client approached us with a task for reverse engineering and improving a cup dispensing module. The existing model couldn't handle the full required range of cup sizes. We also suggested improving its reliability.

Challenge

The resulting device is capable of dispensing a wider range of cup sizes and is significantly more reliable than its predecessor.

Tests have been conducted, and the device is fully ready for mass production.
